Firefox rose from the ashes of the browser wars of old and has since amassed quite a following. As it stands, Firefox has over 15 percent of the browser share, according to the Wikipedia article. It even set a Guinness World Record for the most downloads in a 24hr period with over 8 million.

- Web browser is an umbrella term for any program you use to surf the web.
- Go to the Firefox homepage.
- The Free Download button will show you the version of Firefox you should use, whether you're using Windows, Mac OSX or a version of Linux.
- After downloading, run the Firefox installer.
- Read and, if you agree to the License Agreement, check the box beside I accept the terms...
- Most computer users should opt for the Standard installation. The Custom install option allows you to set the target install folder and configure some other initial installation options.
- At the end of the installation process, make sure the checkbox to Launch Firefox now is ticked so you can get started right away.
- Go to the Firefox homepage.
