Google Chrome's "Incognito" mode allows you to visit sites but without others knowing. Say you were looking for that perfect Christmas gift and didn't want your wife to find the traces, Google Chrome's "Incognito" mode can help you out. It doesn't keep cookies, search or browsing history. It will, however, keep any bookmarks or files you download.

Download Google Chrome and follow along with this tutorial series




- Click on the Wrench icon and select New Incognito window.

- The Incognito opens and note that it's a different color than the original browser window.

- Incognito mode will not keep a record of sites you visit.

- Incognito will not keep cookies from sites you visit.

- In Incognito mode, Google Chrome won't save any search history

- It should be made clear, however, that any bookmarks you make or files
you download will be preserved when you exit Incognito mode.
