- M-Labs is a group effort with Google working with various partners.
- The Network Diagnostics Tool (NDT) is provided by Richard Carlson from Internet2 and is a diagnostic and speed test.
- Glasnost is supplied by Krishna Gummadi and Marcel Dischinger from the Max Planck Institute and it determines if your ISP is trying to control your traffic by throttling and the like.
- Network Path And Application Diagnosis is supplied by Matt Mathis of the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and it diagnoses common problems.
- NANO is a tool supplied by Nick Feamster, Mukarram bin Tariq, Murtaza Motiwala, and Mostafa Ammar also at Georgia Tech. This tool looks to see if your ISP is degrading the performance for certain users or applications.
