Historical Imagery

." This feature lets you go back in time to see what an area looked like in the past. This allows you to see how your neighborhood or the neighborhood you grew up in has changed over time.

Show Notes

- Get Google Earth.

- In

Google Earth

click on View and then move down and click on Historical Imagery.

- At the top you'll see a timeline appear.

- Click on the left arrow to go back in time. Dates will display at the top of the timeline.

- The amount of time available will vary from place to place because of the number of historical images available.

- By going back and forth you can get a feel for how things have changes over time.

- In our example we can see that a number of houses were built between 2006 and 2007.
