In the past your Internet "history" was kind of a disorganized mass of previously visited URL's. In Internet Explorer 8 the history gets some real functionality. You can sort it by date, most visited, site and visited today. You can even search your browsing history to find that site you were on last month.

and follow along with our tutorial series

- Click on the Favorites tab and then on the History tab.

- By default the history is sorted by date.

- You can use the drop-down menu to pick a different sort option, like Most Visited.

- Pick the sort mode that best suits your needs depending on what you're looking for.

- You can also select the search function to search your browsing history.

- Type in the search box and the click Search Now to search your history for the text you typed.
