If you don't have to move your fingers off the keyboard to grab the mouse you can work faster and more efficiently. Windows 7 RC1 is loaded with lots of keyboard shortcuts to make work easier.

- Windows 7 features lots of keyboard shortcuts.

- If you press the Windows key and the up arrow you can maximize a window.

- Press Windows key and down arrow to bring that window back to the way it was.

- To dock a window to the right press Windows key right arrow.

- To bring it back the way it was press Windows key left arrow.

- To dock the window on the left press Windows key left arrow again.

- If you press Windows key + SHIFT plus up arrow a window will go vertical.

- Pressing Windows key + SHIFT plus down arrow brings the window back the way it was and press this sequence again minimizes the window.

- Windows key + T puts focus on the Windows 7 taskbar.

- These are just a few of the many handy keyboard shortcuts available in Windows 7.
