Most power users and IT professionals tend to use keyboard shortcuts whenever possible. Why? Because it makes them more efficient. If you don't have to move your fingers off the keyboard to grab the mouse you can work faster and more efficiently. Windows 7 RC1 is loaded with lots of keyboard shortcuts to make work easier.

- Windows 7 features lots of keyboard shortcuts.
- If you press the Windows key and the up arrow you can maximize a window.
- Press Windows key and down arrow to bring that window back to the way it was.
- To dock a window to the right press Windows key right arrow.
- To bring it back the way it was press Windows key left arrow.
- To dock the window on the left press Windows key left arrow again.
- If you press Windows key + SHIFT plus up arrow a window will go vertical.
- Pressing Windows key + SHIFT plus down arrow brings the window back the way it was and press this sequence again minimizes the window.
- Windows key + T puts focus on the Windows 7 taskbar.
