Some phones make it difficult to

add alarms or notifications

sounds to your phone. Other phones will often have default tones that are annoying or just downright hideous. Fortunately for all the

Droid users

out there, you can add all the sounds you want so that your Android phone will have

customized sounds

for everything from alarms to notifications and more.

- You'll need a file manager. You can find several in the Android Market that are free.

- For our tutorial we used AndroZip.

- Once installed tap on the file manager.

- Then tap the option to create a New Folder.

- When prompted for a name call the folder Alarms.

- Now any sound files you put in the Alarms folder will be available to use as alarms or notifications on your Android phone.
