In an earlier tutorial we showed you how to add shapes to your
Microsoft Word 2007
documents. You can really perk up those basic shapes, however, simply by adding some cool3D effects

- On the Ribbon click on the Format tab and then on 3D Effects.
- The box drops down and click on the lower Shadow Effects item to reveal the shadow effects available.
- As you move over each selection it is reflected in the image in your document.
- In this way you can see how it will look before you commit yourself.
- You can add shadows to every shape.
- Click Shadow Color down at the bottom and you can change the color of the shadow.
- Make the shadow darker or even a different color.
