In an earlier tutorial we showed you how to add shapes to your Word 2007 documents. You can really perk up or call attention to basic shapes, however, simply by
adding some colors

- In a
- On the Ribbon click on the Format tab and then look just to the right of Shape Styles.
- You'll see a little bucket icon and you'll want to click on that.
- This item lets you fill shapes with colors, gradients, textures or even pictures.
- Click again and you'll have all the available options before you.
- The box drops down and click on the lower Shadow Effects item to reveals the shadow effects available.
- As you move over each selection it is reflected in the image in your document.
- In this way you can see how it will look before you commit yourself.
