Once you've created a brand new

virtual machine

with VirtualBox it's not cast in stone. You can utilize the

settings of VirtualBox

to tweak your virtual machines. Add RAM, add disk space, share more folders, and lots more.

Show Notes

- Open VirtualBox.

- Highlight a

virtual machine

you want to alter on the left-hand side.

- Remember that a virtual machine must be powered off before you can alter the settings.

- Double-click on General and the Settings will open up.

- Under General and Basic you can change the machine name, base RAM, video memory, and enable 3D acceleration.

- Under Advanced you can enable extended features, determine how the clipboard is shared and set boot order.

- Under Description you can give a description for your virtual machine.

- Under Storage you can increase or decrease the virtual disk size.

- You can settings for Audio, Network, Ports and more.

- Add additional Shared Folders so information is passed easily between virtual machine and physical machine.

- These features allow you to finely tune each virtual machine so it works at maximum capacity.
