Windows sounds are a little on the boring side. We show you how to create your own set to act as your computing soundtrack. Change one or more sounds, from the Windows start-up music to the critical battery alarm, and set your own sounds to personalize your PC.

Show Notes

Windows comes with default sounds already set. If you want to change them to your own sounds you can do so in just a few, easy steps:

- Click Start then Settings then Control Panel

- Double-click on the Sound and Audio Devices module

- Click on the Sounds tab

- Select the sound you want to change

- Click Browse

- Find the sound file you want to use

- Click OK

- Click Save As, Type in a name for a Sound Scheme

- Click OK, click OK again and you're done!
