How to check for BlackBerry system updates

If you're not certain that you have the most

recent version of the BlackBerry software

on your device there's an easy way to tell. And, if something new is available you can get it wirelessly.

Show Notes

- On your BlackBerry navigate to Settings and click the trackball or press the touchscreen.

- In Settings navigate to Options and click the trackball or press the touchscreen.

- Under Options navigate to Advanced Options and click the trackball or press the touchscreen again.

- Under Advanced Options navigate to

Wireless Upgrade

and press the trackball or press the touchscreen one more time.

- You now see text telling you the software upgrade is a three-step process.

- The steps are requesting the software, downloading it and finally installing it.

- If you wish you can check the box so this message isn't shown again.

- Highlight Next and click the trackball.

- You now see your current version. Click Check for Upgrades.

- There will be a pause while it checks for any available upgrades.

- If there are none you'll see No Upgrades Available! If updates are available, you'll be prompted to download the latest one.

nice, but on my blackberry 8220 (flip) I don't have that option?
