- On the Mac open up System Preferences either by clicking on a Dock icon or by clicking the Apple menu and selecting it.
- In System Preferences select Sharing.
- Go down and check
- When you do a box of Options will drop down and you must pick which you want the connecting user to have.
- When you've made your choices click OK.
- Under Allow access for select who you want to give access to.
- Note that
- Click on Computer Settings.
- You can elect to require a password in order for VNC viewers to control the screen.
- When you're done, click OK.
- Click on Options to review the items you picked.
- If you wanted to give access to other users you could limit their actions on the Options menu.
- Your Mac is now able to accept Virtual Network Connection or VNC.
