VirtualBox for Mac OS X
Ubuntu 9.0.4
- Install VirtualBox on your system and open the program.
- In VirtualBox click New then Next.
- Select your operating system and version.
- Give your virtual machine a name and click Next.
- Assign base memory or RAM and click Next.
- Set the size of the boot hard disk and click Next.
- A new wizard comes up for creating a new virtual disk.
- The disk can be dynamically expanding or fixed.
- With fixed disks all the space is allocated at once whereas the dynamic disks grow as needed.
- Make your selection and click Next.
- Adjust the size to what you want and click Next and Finish.
- Click Finish for the virtual machine.
- On the Settings page double-click on CD/DVD.
- Check Mount CD/DVD Drive and check ISO Image File.
- Click the Browse folder and find your Ubuntu ISO file. Click OK.
- You see a summary of the virtual machine.
- To create the virtual machine click Start and then go through the prompts to install Ubuntu.
