- Open Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, go to System and Security.
- Under System and Security, pick Backup your computer.
- Over on the left, you'll see an option to create a system repair disc.
- Select the drive you want and insert a blank DVD into your DVD drive.
- Click Create Disc.
- When it's done, a dialog will come up telling you what's on the disc and reminding you to label it.
- Be sure to label the disk and put it where you can find it.
- Click Close then OK and you're done.
