Show Notes

- When you go to your Account and then Account Settings, you'll see the option to deactivate your account.

- You may think this means that you're deleting your account and removing your information, but you're not.

- Deactivating your account is simply putting your account on pause, meaning that your friends won't be able to access your profile but it will still be on the Facebook servers.

- If you deactivate your Facebook account, you can log back in to reactivate it and it will be like you never left.

- To permanently delete your account, first go to Account and then Help Center.

- Run a search for "delete my account" and you'll see a paragraph explaining how to delete your account.

- There's a link in here that you can click on and then click on Submit to send a request to delete your account.

- This is permanent and you won't ever be able to access any of your photos, emails or anything in your Facebook account so make sure it's something you really want to do.
