For those eager to
find latitude and longitude
using Google Maps
, there is a way to do it on the fly without setting a marker. It requires enabling a feature that is available throughGoogle Labs
that you can turn on and off whenever you want. Just follow these steps and you'll have even morelocation information

- In a browser, open Google Maps.
- Over to the right you'll see the tiny green beaker that represents Google Labs. Click on that.
- There are some cool experimental things in here, but you can look at those later.
- Move down till you find LngLat Tooltip and click Enable.
- Now click Save Changes.
- If you move your mouse across Google Maps, the longitude and latitude are displayed as you move along.
