One notable change to the user experience on Windows 7 is that the
Quick Launch bar
that has always been a part of Windows is gone! Well, Well, if you're using Windows 7 and you miss the Quick Launch bar, here's how you can getQuick Launch in Windows 7.

- Right-click on the taskbar and select Toolbar.
- Under Toolbar select New toolbar.
- In the dialog that comes up, go to the bottom where it says Folder and paste this string:
%SystemDrive%\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
- Click Select Folder.
- In your Taskbar you will now see Quick Launch and associated icons.
- You can right-click and select Properties and tell it to use small icons.
- You can also indicate not to use text and not to use a title.
- At this point your Quick Launch bar looks just like it used to.
- If you wish, you can leave the Quick Launch bar towards the right side of the taskbar or you can drag it all the way to the left.
- Under Toolbar select New toolbar.
