control ribbon
that has all of the tools forOffice 2010
can be hidden if you'd like. Although it is handy to have, it does take up a bit of space so we'll show you how tohide the control ribbon in Office 2010

- The "ribbon" is the band of tools that goes across the top of Office modules.
- The ribbon first appeared in Office 2007.
- To hide the ribbon, just go to the right-hand side of the program, just to the left of the help question mark.
- You'll see a little arrow head, which you should click on.
- Now the ribbon should disappear.
- To get the ribbon back, just click on the same place again.
- This works in all modules of Office 2010.
- The ribbon first appeared in Office 2007.
