- You can download Parallels Desktop.
- Once installed run Parallels Desktop and select Import Virtual Machine.
- Parallels Desktop can import an entire remote, physical computer.
- It can also import virtual machines created by VirtualBox, VMware, or Virtual PC.
- Click Next. In our example we picked the Advanced option and click Next.
- You can elect to do the entire virtual machine or just the virtual disk. Make your choice and click Next.
- Now you have to click Browse to find the virtual machine file you're trying to import.
- Highlight that file and click Open.
- Now specify where you want the resulting Parallels virtual machine file to go and click Next.
- Review the next screen and click Migrate.
- Now you have to wait while the virtual machine is imported.
- This can take some time depending on the size of the virtual machine you're importing.
- When the import is finished Parallels Desktop will tell you and just click Finish.
