Windows Vista comes with a wide array of fonts included. However, for more creative or stylized work like creating a desktop calendar or a greeting card, these fonts might not cut it. We'll show you how to install a new font in Windows Vista with tips that translate to Windows XP too.

Note: Font files have file extensions of .otf or .ttf.
- Right click on your font file and click Install.
- To install multiple fonts at one time select all of the fonts at once (Ctrl + click or draw a selection rectangle around the files), right click any of the files and select Install.
- To verify that your fonts have been installed, click on Fonts in the Control Panel to make sure your new fonts appear there.
- Your new font(s) will be available to select in Microsoft Word, your photo or even video editor.
