Note: An improperly flashed ROM can often brick the device, rendering it unusable. Use at your own risk. Butterscotch.com takes no responsibility for any damage to your phone as a result of rooting.

- Once again, you must have an American Motorola Droid running firmware 2.1 that isn't rooted.

- Double-click on the RSD Lite 4.6 file and begin the installation.

- Follow the prompts, agree to the license and click Next.

- When it completes, click Close.

- Now, connect your Motorola Droid 2.1 to your PC via USB cable and power down your phone.

- To do this, hold down the power button until a dialog comes up. Select Power off.

- Another dialog will come up reminding you that this will turn off your phone. Tap OK.

- Let your phone finish shutting down.

- Leave it connected to your PC!!!
