How to launch the On-Screen Keyboard in Windows

One of the hidden features of Windows is the On-Screen Keyboard application. This virtual keyboard allows users with mobility impairments or other disabilities to input text with a pointing device rather than a physical keyboard. The On-Screen Keyboard can also help in a pinch if your regular keyboard is broken or not being recognized.

Show Notes

- Click on the Start menu and select Run.

OR

- Press the Windows key + r

- Type "osk" (without quotation marks) and click OK.

- Manually click on the keys using your mouse.

You can also select different keyboard layouts and languages.

You can also run the On-Screen Keyboard by double clicking osk.exe in C:\WINDOWS\system32... useful if your keyboard is not functioning.
