How to make Aero faster in Windows 7

Aero is one of the cooler

features in Windows 7

. It gives open windows that translucent, glass look. Unfortunately, it can put a bit of strain on older video cards. If you like

but your computer isn't running it fast enough, there is something you can do to

make Aero faster

. Here's how!

- First click on Start and then on Control Panel.

- In Control Panel click on Appearance and Personalization.

- Under Personalization click on Change window glass colors.

- Now uncheck the box next to Enable transparency.

- Click Save changes.

- Now, right click on Computer in the Start menu and select Properties.

- Click on Advanced system settings over on the left.

- In the Advanced tab click on Settings, under Performance.

- Now, in the Visual Effects tab, uncheck the box that says Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing.

- Click Apply, then OK and you're done. Aero should now be faster to use.
