How to make Safari open all new pages in a tab

When you're

browsing the Internet

and you

open a new page

, chances are you don't want to

open a new window

. Instead, you'll want the page to

open pages in a new tab

. You can set this to be your

default setting

for

Safari

so that each time you open a new page it pops up as a new tab. We'll show you how in this tutorial!

Show Notes

- In Safari, click on the gear icon and select Preferences.

- In Preferences, click on Tabs.

- The default is to Never open windows in a tab.

- Click on the drop-down menu.

- If you select Automatically, you'll be asked if a site has specifically requested a new window.

- If you want everything you click on to appear in a tab then select Always.

- That's all there is to it!
