Show Notes

- Go to the Control Panel and type "firewall" in the search box; click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off.

- Click On or Off to enable or disable the firewall. The option to block all incoming connections provides added security but may interfere with some internet connected programs.

- The Exceptions tab lets allow certain programs through the firewall. Checking the Notify me box will make Windows notify you when a new program tries to make a connection.

- On the Advanced tab you can enable or disable the firewall for different network connections, or restore all of the firewall settings to their defaults.

- Click on OK to save your settings.
