manages users

. Only specific users have access to key functions. If you need more users it's easy to add them.

Show Notes

- In Ubuntu click on System and then on Administration.

- Move down and click on Users and Groups.

- Ubuntu keeps itself secure by requiring that I unlock this function with an administrator password.

- Click

Add User

.

- Type in a user name and a real name.

- You can have the system generate a random password or you can enter a password manually.

- Each user has certain privileges. I set this user as a Desktop User.

- If you wish you could make a user unprivileged or an administrator.

- Click OK and you're done.
