- In your router software, look for an option that mentions traffic.

- Click on this option.

- First, you'll have to turn traffic monitoring on.

- You can enter a monthly limit if you have one.

- You can also have your counter reset automatically at a time determined by you.

- You can have the router pop up a message so many minutes or megabytes before you reach your monthly limit.

- If desired, you can even have it disable the Internet connection.

- The traffic meter is a great way to monitor the traffic on your network simply because you want to or because you need to.
