Show Notes

- Hold one end of the wire you want to wrap in your thumb and little finger.

- Wrap the cable around your remaining three free fingers starting with the end you're holding.

- Leaving a space between your fingers makes it easier to remove the wrapped wire when you're done.

- Leave a tail of about 10cm.

- Remove the wire bundle from your fingers and hold it so it doesn't unravel.

- Wrap the tail tightly around the center of the bundle a few times, leaving enough to then insert through the loops on either end of the bundle.

- Insert the tail end of the wire through the loops to secure it.

I've been doing this for years and I've never had any problems at all. My thinking: It's better than getting the earbuds tied into a tight knot which, in my experience, is the other option.

This is TERRIBLE for your cables -- especially wrapping something like earbuds so tightly (when you wrap the cable around itself). You're just asking for it to break!
