- Remember, you must have Android 2.2 Froyo installed on your device.
- If you have your device locked with a pattern, you'll have to draw it in.
- Otherwise, tap on Settings and then on Security. In Security, tap on Change screen lock.
- Now you'll see your options which are None, Pattern, PIN and Password. Tap on Password.
- You'll see a place to type your password and the keyboard will come up.
- Enter your password and make absolutely sure you can remember it. Tap Continue.
- Enter the password again and tap OK.
- Now you'll be prompted to enter your password before you can access your phone.
