You have a lot of things on your iPhone. Email, documents, pictures, and lots more. To
keep that data safe
you may want topassword protect your iPhone
to keep others out. You can evenfactory reset your iPhone
after a given number of failed password attempts. While it won't soften the blow of alost iPhone

- On your iPhone tap on Settings.
- In Settings tap on General.
- In General tap on
- You're then prompted to enter a 4 digit passcode and then to re-enter it.
- The two passcodes must match.
- Now you'll see that the

- If you tap that you're prompted to Enable the function.
- Remember that if you put in your passcode incorrectly 10 times your iPhone will be wiped!
- In Settings tap on General.
- In General tap on
Passcode Lock
which is Off by default.- You're then prompted to enter a 4 digit passcode and then to re-enter it.
- The two passcodes must match.
- Now you'll see that the
Passcode is set
to come on Immediately. Tap that and you get a dialog that lets you change the time interval.- There's also an option to Erase Data.
- If you tap that you're prompted to Enable the function.
- Remember that if you put in your passcode incorrectly 10 times your iPhone will be wiped!
