Sometimes you just need to take a peek in order to see if you have the right file. That's what Quick Look is for. It gives you a way to quickly see files without having to open up their native applications.

- Click on a file you'd like to see.
- Right-click and select Quick Look Filename.
Or
- Select the file and press the Space Bar
- The file will open in Quick Look.
- While it can't look inside compressed files, like Zip files, it does show you the date the file was last modified.
- Quick Look can let you peek inside a wide range of file formats.
- This includes files with txt, doc, xls, ppt, pdf and other common extensions.
