- If you have Android 2.2 Froyo on your device you can use a PIN code to protect it.

- Tap on Settings and then on Security.

- Tap on Change screen lock.

- Now you have choices of None, Pattern, PIN or Password.

- Tap on PIN and you can enter a PIN code.

- Be sure to use a PIN code you can remember.

- Tap Continue, enter the PIN again and tap OK.

- Now you'll be prompted for the PIN each time you try to access your phone.
