Several viewers wrote and asked if it was possible to put an icon for the Recycle Bin in their
taskbar in Windows 7
. It turns out that it is and we'll show you how to do just that in this tutorial. Once you're finished, you'll be able to view your windows in full screen and drag undesired items straight into theRecycle Bin on the taskbar

- On your desktop, right-click, select New and then click on Shortcut.
- In the text area for the shortcut, copy and paste the following:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder
- Click Next and give your shortcut a name. I used "Trash." Click Finish.
- Now right-click on the new shortcut and select Properties.
- Click on Change icon.
- In the text area at the top, paste this:
%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll
- You'll see a display of icons. Search until you find the Recycle Bin icon and select it. Click Apply and select OK.
- Now you can drag your new icon to the taskbar and pin it.
- Viola! Your Recycle Bin icon, no matter what you called it, is in your taskbar.
