- On your desktop, right-click, select New and then click on Shortcut.

- In the text area for the shortcut, copy and paste the following:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder

- Click Next and give your shortcut a name. I used "Trash." Click Finish.

- Now right-click on the new shortcut and select Properties.

- Click on Change icon.

- In the text area at the top, paste this:

%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll

- You'll see a display of icons. Search until you find the Recycle Bin icon and select it. Click Apply and select OK.

- Now you can drag your new icon to the taskbar and pin it.

- Viola! Your Recycle Bin icon, no matter what you called it, is in your taskbar.
