With iPhone software version 3.0, iPhone users will have noticed a new app on their trusty mobile. The
Voice Memo app
lets you record a lecture, an interview or a note to self with ease. Here's how it works.Download this episode now

- Find the Voice Memo app icon - it's a microphone, appropriately enough.
- Tap on it.
- Tap the red button to begin recording.
- At the top you'll see a red bar displaying your recordings progress.
- Try to keep the VU meter at the bottom out of the red area.
- If you want to pause your recording tap the red button. Tap again to resume.
- Tap the black button on the right to end your recording.
- Just tap the right button and you can listen to your recording.
- Tap Share and you can send your recording by email or MMS message.
- If you wish you can delete you memo.
- You can also edit it but we'll cover that in another tutorial.
