We've all done it: trashed a file that, as soon as we clicked on OK, we realized was a mistake to bin. Windows and other operating systems have a staging area of sorts for deleted items for just this reason. If you accidentally put a file in the recycle bin, it's easy to get it back. Crisis averted.

- Double-click on the Recycle Bin.
- Select the file you want to restore or "un-delete."
- Right-click and select Restore.
- Close Recycle Bin.
Your file will be restored to wherever it was on your computer before you deleted it. For example, an item deleted from the desktop will be returned to the desktop.
