The stars are there above us at night, but how many of them can you name? How many constellations can you find? With Google Sky Map on your Android phone, you don't need to remember where Orion's Belt is in relation to the Big Dipper or the North Star... all the info is available on your Android phone!

- Google Sky Map is available in the Android Market and it's free. Just download it to your Android phone.
- Tap on the icon and Sky Map will load.
- You'll see a display of stars and constellations above your location.
- Tap on the Menu key and then tap on Settings.
- You can determine what things you want to see when you're using Sky Map.
- Toggle off and on things like horizon, Messier lines, constellations, planets and more.
- Tap on Location.
- Here, you can tell the program to use GPS or you can input your location manually.
- Unless you have exact latitude and longitude, it's best to use GPS.
- Tap the back button to go back to the display.
- Tap on the Menu button and then tap Toggle night mode.
- This turns the entire display red so you can see it better in the dark when you're viewing stars.
- If you tap on the left side of the screen, an iconic menu will come up that will let you toggle off and on some of the items you set in Settings.
- For example, you can turn off constellations, planets or grid lines.
- Tap the Menu button and tap Search and you can type in the name of a star or planet you're looking for.
