By default the iPhone doesn't allow you to have

group recipients

set up for your emails. However, it is possible to

set up contacts

with

multiple email addresses

separated by commas, thus allowing you to

send emails to multiple recipients

. We'll show you how to set them up in this episode.

Show Notes

- Even though Contacts on the iPhone doesn't support groups there is a way to do group emails.

- The idea here is to create a list of the emails you want in your group and separate them with commas, like so: email2@here.com, email3@here.com, email4@here.com, email5@here.com, etc.

- Another way is to use your desktop computer to compose and email to yourself and put your group list in that.

- Once the group list is on your iPhone hold down your finger and pick Select All. Now select Copy.

- Now close that and open Contacts. Tap + to create a new contact.

- Give the contact list a name that means something to you like Family Group, Work Group or what have you.

- Now, in the email section, hold your finger down and select Paste.

- All of your email addresses will be added even though you may only see one. You can now select your group and send an email to them.

- The iPhone will give you an error message saying it's an invalid email but just ignore that.

- You can also send multiple attachments, like photos, to your groups.
