As a business tool it's important that your BlackBerry reflect the current date and time. It's also important that it be set for the correct time zone and be getting time updates from a reliable source. You can check all these things under the BlackBerry Date/Time settings.

- On your BlackBerry highlight Settings and click the trackball or press the touchscreen.
- Inside Settings highlight Options and click the trackball or press the touchscreen.
- Inside Options move to highlight Date/Time and click the trackball or press the touchscreen again.
- First up is timezone. Click the trackball or press the touchscreen to change the timezone to the one you're in.
- To change the time highlight a number, click the trackball or press the touchscreen to change the value.
- Moving up increases the time and rolling down decreases it.
- Time format can be 12-hour or 24-hour (military) time.
- Simply click the trackball to change the time format.
- Date should display the correct date and time.
- The Date/Time Source can be set to Network, BlackBerry, or off.
- Network is the best choice because your cell phone service provider's network keeps very accurate time.
- At the bottom of the screen the Network Date and Network Time are
displayed.
- Click the BlackBerry menu key and select Save. Click the trackball.
- You're done!
