With some devices you set a volume level and that's the level for all sounds. Not true on the Android phone. You can set a volume level for the ringer and a different level for playing songs and other phone features. Here's how.

- On your Android phone tap on Settings.
- In Settings tap on Sound and display.
- Under Sound and display tap on Ringer volume.
- Here, you can use the slider to adjust the volume of the ringer.
- If you move the slider, your default ringtone will play so you can hear the level of volume.
- You can check the box below to have notification be at the same volume as the ringer.
- Or you can uncheck it and give notifications their own, unique volume level.
- When you're satisfied just tap OK and you're done.
- In Settings tap on Sound and display.
