- Click on Start and in the search window, type regedit and press enter.
- The Registry Editor will appear.
- You want to find this location:
HLKM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\MemoryManagement\PrefetchParameters
- Now, in the right pane, double-click EnablePrefetcher.
- Change the value to 2 and click the OK button.
- Now Double-click EnableSuperfetch.
- Change the value to 2 and click the OK button.
- You can now close the Registry Editor.
- Windows 7 will now boot faster because it will focus on booting.
- The Registry Editor will appear.
- You want to find this location:

- Change the value to 2 and click the OK button.
- Now Double-click EnableSuperfetch.
