When your
computer sleeps
, it can easily be woken up by a movement of the mouse. If you're sick of your local four-legged friends nudging the mouse and waking the computer up, or even if you have a tendency to bump the computer desk and wake it up yourself, we have a solution for you. - Click on Start and then on Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, click on Hardware and Sound.
- Under Devices and Printers, click on Mouse.
- Now click on the Hardware tab and select your mouse.
- Click on Properties.
- Now click on Change settings.
- Here, you'll see a checkbox next to Allow this device to wake the computer.
- Uncheck the box, click OK, click OK again and you're done.
