How to sync and backup your Firefox bookmarks

Since the early days of the Internet people have been trying to manage bookmarks. Programs have come out to import and export bookmarks, others have attempted to organize bookmarks, and still others have provided ways to share bookmarks between computers. Finally, an add-on for Firefox called Foxmarks, now Xmarks, came along and got it right.

- Open Firefox.

- You can download XMarks from the Xmarks web site

- Install Xmarks and restart Firefox.

- If you have an Xmarks account simply log in.

- If not then you can create one and it's completely free.

- You can create different profiles that contain different bookmarks.

- Xmarks is wonderful for getting all your bookmarks into a new install of Firefox.

- Xmarks can also sync your passwords between different computers.
