will grant some iPhone models the ability to

zoom with the iPhone camera

. This feature will work much better on iPhone 4 models but still allows certain older iPhone models to

zoom in digitally

. While the quality may be lower, it will allow users to get a closer view of their subject.

- To use digital zoom, first open up the camera.

- Tap the screen in order to focus on a particular subject.

- There's now a slider on the side of the screen which allows you to zoom in and out.

- This does not cause the fixed lens to zoom in (optic zoom) but instead digitally zooms in using software.

- This will cause a decrease in image quality.

- The quality will be better on the new iPhone 4 than on the older models.
