The

iPhone's GPS

is great... but what if you lose the signal and you're in the middle of nowhere? Not a problem if you have the new iPhone 3GS. The new

Compass iPhone app

can not only pinpoint you on a map, it can now tell which direction you're facing too!

Show Notes

- The

Compass application

comes on the new iPhone 3GS.

- Tap on the Compass icon.

- It will ask to use your location and the best response is OK. So, tap that.

- Now you see the compass and it will show you which direction you're facing in.

- At the bottom you can see your exact location in latitude and longitude.

- If you tap the icon on the left it will refresh the information.

- If you tap the information icon on the right you can pick from True North or Magnetic North.

- Compared to a regular compass this compass is dead on accurate.
