Show Notes

- Zoom and telephoto lenses can zoom in on subjects a great distance away.

- There are lots of reasons to use a zoom or telephoto lens, but generally they're used to close the distance between you and your subject.

- Taking pictures of wildlife is another good opportunity to use a zoom or telephoto lens.

- The main downside to these lenses is their weight, which is mostly due to the fact that they use much more glass.

- Also, not as much light makes it through telephoto lenses due to their length.

- The longer length of the lenses also increases your chances of getting a blurred shot due to lens shake.

- Zoomed in shots will also have a different effect to them than shots taken by moving closer to the target. This is most noticeable in the background.
