Any computer user will tell you, eventually you're going to need a system backup from which to restore your computer should it fail.

is much improved and makes it easy to keep a backup of important files, settings and even programs.

- One way to be more safe and secure is to do regular backups.

- Click Start and the Control Panel.

- In Control Panel click on System and Security and click on Backup and Restore.

- You can create an image of a drive.

- You can also create a system restore disc.

- Click

- Windows 7 will ask you where you want to save your backup. Make a select and click Next.

- You can let Windows choose or you can choose for yourself. Make a choice and click Next.

- If you elected to pick for yourself you'll have to check off the folders you want backed up.

- You can change the schedule to be daily, weekly, or monthly.

- Since backing up is somewhat disk intensive you might want to schedule backups for when you aren't using the computer.

- Now click OK.

- Click Save settings and backup.

- Your backup will begin.
