Windows 7 Firewall

is designed to stop things from connecting to your computer that shouldn't.

- It also lets things you want to go out leave.

- Click on Start and then on Control Panel.

- In Control Panel click on System and Security and then on Windows Firewall.

- Here you can check the status of your firewall.

- Click Change notification settings to change when you are notified.

- The default is to notify you when a new program is blocked.

- You can click Advanced settings to really tweak your firewall.

- The firewall monitors incoming connections and blocks items that have not been approved.
