- Upon turning on the phone, you'll be presented with a splash screen.
- Once booted, a "Welcome to Nexus One" screen says to touch the android to begin setup.
- Change language or make an emergency call using the appropriate buttons at the bottom of the screen.
- Follow the step-by-step setup to get up and running.
- If you're in a known wireless zone (home or office for example,) it's a good idea to connect to it before inserting your SIM card. This way, the initial data load comes off your Internet connection as opposed to over the data network.
- Either create a new Google account or sign in with an existing account.
- The phone may take up to five minutes to pull the appropriate data.
- Opt to allow location services or not.
- Choose the setup values, including date and time formats and time zone, on the next screen.
- Upon successful setup, you're presented with the Android home screen with default wallpaper.
